Reports of single incision laparoscopy date back to 1991, but interest in this approach has increased recently with the introduction of some dedicated laparoscopic equipment. Sean was one of the first surgeons to introduce these techniques in Melbourne, and he has a substantial experience in this area, especially in the area of gallbladder surgery.
